Vietnam in a shoestring :Up north the old french quarter of Ha Noi

It's my first time to celebrate Khmer new year here in Phnom Penh city. It is usually celebrated every April 13-15 but it turns out to be a long whole week.People are so busy planning their new year celebration with their family and some of them booked a bus to go back to their hometown. Phnom Penh city became a ghost town. So i decided to travel to Vietnam. From Sai Gon to Ha Noi,  it was a memorable experience for me. I met lots of new friends, tried things i never eat/do before and just wandered without any thoughts of work and problem.

Traveling really gives me this serenity and fulfillment feeling =)

Here's my traveling photos. Hope it will inspire other woman/man to travel more, see, taste and experience all outside the four corners of their cubicle. Besides, you earn money so you could enjoy it. Happy travels! =)

 The capital of Vietnam, is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

The beautiful Central Post Office across the road from the Notre Dame Cathedral is one of the best looking colonial public buildings in Ho Chi Minh City. It was constructed when Vietnam was part of French Indochina in the early 20th century.

It became a tourist destination with its Gothic architectural style which was designed and constructed by the famous architect Gustave Eiffel of Eiffel Tower fame.

The interior is also worth a visit; huge ceilings, a giant portrait of Uncle Ho and many beautiful details and decorations.

The famous church, which was constructed during 1877 and 1833 by the French, serves as the nation's Catholic center. The history of the church says that the materials used in its construction were imported from France- Notre Dame with Virgin Maria.

The once residence of the Governor Generals of Indochina, the Reunification Palace in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, has a spacious complex with 100. rooms and total area exceeding 2,000 square meter. Its finest decorations and the rich collection of contemporary Vietnamese art and craft, make it one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city

The Historical Museum: Located inside the renowned botanical garden of the city, this museum has a rich collection of data and objects belonging to some ancient civilizations in the Mekong Delta namely Oc Eo (Funan).
